Heading up the middle price range is the Moen 7175 Level One-Handle High Arc Pullout Kitchen Faucet, another one of their popular models that seem to be selling like hotcakes at this time of the year. Unfortunately, the escutcheon plate is sold separately so that extra purchase if you choose it will actually push this product into the high priced range.

For what it is worth it is one of the best escutcheon plates you will ever buy, so it’ll be money well spent even if it would have been better for them to include it with the original purchase. Using a traditional high arc spout, Moen gives you the best it has to offer so you have full coverage no matter how many dishes are in the sink.

Moen 7175 Level One-Handle High Arc Pullout Kitchen Faucet

Moen 7175

  • 1.5 Gallons Per Minute
  • High-arc spout for greater clearance
  • Reflex Technology for Ease of Use
  • Hydrolock Technology for Fast Installation
  • 5.7 pounds weight

Full movement while swiveling is another big feature, so consumers can choose to move the faucet completely out of the way if it is not needed. The pulldown spout functions as a full spray head, meaning that you’ll get the full functions of a spray head all from one single unit. This is another one of their traditional takes on kitchen faucets that have recently caught fire with the public.

Moen 7175 Overview

Best Features of Moen 7175

The entire system comes in 2 different high quality finishes of chrome or classic stainless. If choosing the chrome finish buyers will be pleased with how reflective, bright and lively it looks in their kitchen. This gives off an actual chrome look that is so sparkly you won’t want to put your hands on it. But there is no need to worry since it has a LifeShine non-tarnish finish that will never wear off even after years of use.

Consumers don’t have to worry about it tarnishing, flaking off or even corroding and it will look good as new years from now. The pull down spout has pause, spray and stream options that operate at up to 1.5 GPM at 60 PSI. This is smooth performance and all without overpowering the sink itself.

For picky installers the handle can be installed on either side, and rotates 100 degrees when needed. This helps with a lot of difficult installations in kitchens that may not fit the average mold. A high quality 1255 Duralast cartridge is built in and works in conjunction with 2 independently operating check valves that work great in preventing backflow.

With a reach of 24 inches, the spout is more than capable of handling whatever you put in front of its high arch. If you need to stretch things out a bit, the incredibly long 68 inch hose comes off easily, and no matter how far your stretch it out, retracts without assistance and clicks in securely to the docked position.

Compared to other brands, the Moen 7175 sprayer system unlatches and extends 40% easier than other products with the same stats. Following the same installation technology that has made the company popular worldwide, this model uses the quick and simple Hydrolock technology which promises fast installation.

This patented technology is made to install the faucet without the need for any tools at all, leaving the consumer with one less thing to worry about. Moen 7175 is compliant with the ADA and California Proposition 65 with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Users can feel safe in using this product as it passes and exceeds all standard regulations for kitchen faucets. Product dimensions for install are 24.6x12.4x3.8 and is a single hole deck mount model.

Things to Know About Moen 7175

This is an all metal construction with plastic in only the most common sense of areas to avoid corrosion. It still manages to be on the lighter side when using, so despite its durable construction it does not seem to weigh your hand down when using for extended periods of time. The pause function works by holding the button down, so a bit of a lack of freedom for those that are used to it having a toggling function.

The system works well in large kitchens because of how high it arches, although in certain smaller sinks it will function just fine. Looking at the design of the faucet through pictures doesn’t do it justice, as this will be a true standout in the kitchen. The chrome is a must have a finish, and it really does sparkle like magic even when the light is not hitting it.

Buyers that go with the chrome finish will find that it works in almost any kitchen, regardless of the décor. The manual includes a bit of a picture book set of instructions, so it may be jarring at first glance but is still quite easy to grasp.

Best Comparison

Looking at the Dyconn Faucet PLK402-BN Platinum Series Gila Single Handle Pull Out Kitchen Faucet it’s hard not to notice the similarities, but there is a big price difference with the Dyconn being a lot less in price. Where it fails to hit the mark is with design, as the chrome finish of the lesser priced Dyconn looks dull and unsparing compared to the Moen faucet. There is a really big difference in the way one shines over the other, and that compared with the features are just enough to make the 7175 a clear winner between the two.

Price Changes

The price of the escutcheon plate actually went up since its debut, but the price of the faucet itself has stayed the same and won’t be changing. You may get a little luck during the holidays, but since the chrome version of this sells so fast it is really unlikely that it will be in stock or be on sale. If you see the chrome version in stock then grab it when you can since it is so popular. Even if the price doesn’t drop, this is a fantastic kitchen faucet to sink your money into.

Personal Opinion

Moen is doing a good job of blending traditional design into modern faucets, giving users the best of both worlds. It is a bit regrettable that they didn’t include the escutcheon plate, but it is a small problem that can easily be forgotten when you realize how beautiful this faucet is in your kitchen.

They once again included their hard to beat warranty, 60+ inch hose and Hydrolock install technology in the complete package to give you the full tour of what Moen is all about when it comes to kitchen faucets. Consumers won’t be disappointed with this purchase, especially if they opt to get the hard to keep in stock chrome model that keeps flying off of the shelves.

This is easily one of Moen’s best to date, and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that it may be in their top 10 of all time. Kitchen faucets did right start with this design and ends with features that are up to date but not too overwhelming for the average consumer. With the amount of manpower it can take to install a faucet, it is nice to have one that can be installed in under an hour with no tools. Once the initial install is done with this kitchen faucet, you’ll never have to look back at another kitchen faucet again.
